The Players Club of Swarthmore will be holding auditions for the January/February Second Stage production of After-Play by Anne Meara.
 

When:
Auditions: Thursday, October 10th at 7:00PM.
Callbacks: Thursday, October 17th at 7:00PM (by invitation only).
 
If you CANNOT attend the October 10th date, please contact the director Dani Kennedy, danikennedy614@gmail.com and we will try to make arrangements to see you at a separate time.

  • Please bring a photo/resume if you have one.
  • Audition sides will be provided at time of audition.

Where: Players Club of Swarthmore (614 Fairview Rd, Swarthmore, PA 19081).
 
Tech Week: January 19th – January 24th
Show Dates: January 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st, & February 1st
 
Character Descriptions
Needed: 4 males, 3 females.
 

Raziel (M) – the waiter. A person of color, non-Caucasian, 30s-50s. Dignified, kind, very patient, in control at all times.
 
Marty (M) – 60s – 70s. Sweet, warm man, had a successful career in theatre and television. Gets emotional easily. Adores his wife Terry.
 
Terry (F) – 60s – 70s. Marty’s wife and acting/singing partner. Open, warm, VERY opinionated. Just started therapy, likes to talk about analysis and all she’s learning in therapy.
 
Renee (F) – 60s – 70s. Married to Phil, she is an ex-actress, TV writer and producer. Used to being waited on. Good sense of humor.
 
Phil (M) – 60s – 70s. Upset that the entertainment world has more or less passed him by. Sad about his failure as a father, deals with his sadness through humor.
 
Emily (F) – late 40s – early 60s. Devastated by the loss of her son, she turns to alcohol and directs her anger at her husband.
 
Matthew (M) – 50s- 60s. Emotional wreck over the death of his (and Emily’s) son. Very aware of his wife’s alcohol abuse.
 

 

The Players Club of Swarthmore is an all-volunteer organization. All roles are unpaid and Non-Equity.
