The Players Club of Swarthmore will be holding auditions for the January Main Stage production of Hay Fever by Noel Coward.

Auditions: Monday, September 16th. Sign in starts at 7pm.
Callbacks: Monday, September 23rd at 7pm.

Where: Players Club of Swarthmore (614 Fairview Rd, Swarthmore, PA 19081). Sign-in starts at 7:00 PM in the Lobby. Please enter through the front doors of the theater.

Character Descriptions
Needed: 5W, 4M. All parts are open. British accent required for all characters. Slight cockney accent for Clara would be acceptable. The Director supports diversity in the arts and encourages all to come and audition.
Adult Roles

Sorel Bliss (lead): early to mid 20’s – daughter, sister, English, posh, flirtatious, argumentative, bickering, socialite, self-centered, passionate; romantic interest in Richard.
Simon Bliss (lead): early to mid 20’s – son, brother, English, posh, artist, Bohemian, flirtatious, argumentative, bickering, self-centered.
Judith Bliss (lead): late 50’s to early 60’s – wife, mother, actress (recently retired), eccentric, theatrical, dramatic, over the top, bickering, flirtatious, seductive, English, self-centered; having an affair with much younger man (Sandy).
David Bliss (lead): late 50’s to early 60’s – husband, father, writer, intelligent, English, bickering, self-centered, teasing, flirtatious, flippant.
Clara (supporting): mid 40’s to early 50’s – housekeeper, maid, dresser, friend, theatrical, loyal, faithful, tolerant, patient.
Sandy Tyrell (supporting): mid 20’s to early 30’s – guest, visitor, boxer, posh, English, kind, confident, good-mannered, gentleman, good-humored; romantic interest in Judith.
Myra Arundel (supporting): mid 20’s to early 30’s: guest, visitor, confident, independent, assured, tough, outspoken, one of few people who can stand up to Judith; romantic interest in David.
Richard Greatham (supporting): mid 40’s to early 50’s – guest, visitor, diplomatic, politics, English, posh, confident, good-mannered; flattered by the attentions of the much younger Sorel.
Jackie Coryton (supporting): mid 20’s to early 30’s – guest, flapper, English, naïve, unsure, young, sweet, unaffected, kind.
