AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Please choose a song that will showcase a strong character as well as your vocal range. Songs from You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown are allowed. A piano accompanist will be provided. There will be no dance call during initial auditions.

CONFLICTS: Please refrain from auditioning if you have any conflicts with tech week
(October 3-6) and/or show dates (see above).

CASTING BREAKDOWN: All roles are open. We are looking for adults (ages 18+) to bring these child-like characters to life. We acknowledge that many roles we list fall on gender binary, but invite transgender and non-binary performers to audition for the roles they most identify with. Please note that some songs/scenes may be cut from the show in order to reach a more kid-friendly show length with authority from Concord Theatricals

CHARLIE (Male):
A lovable loser, a child dominated by his insecurities and a “permanent case of bad luck,” but who is ultimately full of endless determination and hope. He is often taken advantage of by his peers. Voice: Baritone

LUCY VAN PELT (Female):
A crabby, bossy, selfish girl! She is especially mean to Charlie Brown and her “stupid” little brother Linus. Lucy is in love with Schroeder who has NO interest in her whatsoever. Lucy is loud, obnoxious and has a very strong personality. Voice: Alto/Mezzo

LINUS VAN PELT (Male):
The house intellectual, bright and well-informed. Linus means well and tries to smooth over any storms that arise amongst the gang. Linus can always be seen walking (and dancing) with his trusty security blanket. A source of frustration for him is Lucy, who always belittles him, particularly over his “stupid blanket.” Voice: Baritone

SALLY BROWN (Female):
Charlie Brown’s younger sister. Sally has a “take it easy” approach to life, preferring to slide by while doing as little work as possible. She is hopelessly in love with Linus. Sally has philosophies on life although they are not the most well thought out philosophies. Voice: Soprano

SNOOPY (Any gender):
He is Charlie Brown’s pet beagle, and is owned and cared for by Charlie Brown although at times it is not clear who is in charge. Snoopy is blessed with a rich fantasy life. Voice: Tenor

SCHROEDER (Male):
He is a skilled pianist and his interests solely lie with music, especially the classical composers, Beethoven and Mozart. Voice: Tenor
