Volunteer Spotlight: Allison Miller

Some of us at PCS express our love of theater through our voices. Others share their talents through tap shoes.

For Allison Miller, expression comes through a miter saw.

Allison is the one of the valuable volunteers who shows up for every production, a set builder who – while she has no desire to appear on stage these days – creates the structures that put PCS audience members in awe.

In Memory of Kathleen Coll Senkow…

April 8th, 2024 Comments off

The PCS Theater community is terribly saddened by the devastating loss of Kathleen Coll Senkow, who passed away suddenly on Friday, April 19th. Kathie volunteered at PCS Theater for more than 50 years and was an integral part of the fabric of our community, both artistically and administratively. She forged a new path for women in leadership positions at PCS Theater. Her accomplishments include:

  • Served multiple terms as a member of the Board of Governors;
  • Elected as President, Vice President and Secretary during separate terms while on the Board of Governors;
  • Served as the Second Stage Producing Director;
  • Chaired the Fundraising Committee, Centennial Celebration Committee, Audience Development Committee, and the Costume Committee, among others;
  • Integral participation on many significant fundraising efforts, up to and including a major grant from Quest for the Best in 2022.

Artistically, Kathie was a highly accomplished actress appearing in over 30 productions – most recently, in Three Tall Women, directed by her late husband, Bohdan Senkow. Attached is a picture of what she described as her favorite role at PCS Theater – Martha in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Kathie rightfully earned her place on the PCS Theater Wall of Honor in 2022, joining Bohdan and becoming the second woman to earn that distinction. Collectively, there is a hole in our hearts, and she will be missed.

Please consider making a donation in Kathie’s name to PCS here: In Memory of Kathie Senkow.
