Assistive Listening Devices
- Assistive listening devices are available from the box office at no charge prior to all mainstage shows.
- These devices ensure clear audio even from the back of the house.
- You can also connect to our assistive listening system using your personal smartphone
Restroom Accessibility
- A private, all-gender, ADA-compliant restroom is located in the small lobby at the rear of the auditorium.
Seating Information
- The auditorium seats are cushioned, wide, and comfortable.
- There are four wheelchair spaces (two in front, two in the rear) and several easy-access seats with flip-up arms.
- Wheelchair spaces can be reserved in advance. If accompanying a person in a wheelchair, select a seat next to the wheelchair space.
A New Approach to Theater
At PCS, we are committed to making theater accessible and inclusive for everyone. We’ve partnered with Art-Reach, becoming the first community theater to collaborate with this organization to offer more diverse and accessible programming. Through our involvement in the ACCESS Program, we also provide reduced ticket prices for cardholders, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to experiencing the arts. These initiatives help us engage a wider audience, ensuring our performances are truly accessible to all.
Relaxed Performances
In late 2021 PCS Theater pioneered offering relaxed performances designed to meet the needs of neurodiverse audience members. We have witnessed the benefits and the appeal over the last few years. No production show elements are altered or compromised. Rather, PCS Theater provides extensive options and accommodations designed to enable all patrons to enjoy the experience of live theater at any PCS Theater performance.
At PCS, a “Relaxed Performance” is theater designed to meet the needs of neurodiverse audiences. Unlike a sensory friendly performance, there will be no changes made to the production itself. The lighting, sound, dance, and other elements of the show will remain the same. We strive to create an atmosphere where theater can be enjoyed by everyone.
Relaxed Performances Include:
Comfortable Atmosphere
Enjoy the performance in a “no-shushing” zone where everyone can feel at ease.
Quiet Zones
Designated areas where you can take a break if needed.
Noise-Canceling Headphone
Available for those who need them.
Flexible Entry and Exit
Feel free to enter and exit the auditorium as needed throughout the performance.
