CAST

It's the late 1920s in the Midwest. Outside, on
the Curry ranch, cattle are dying on another arid
summer day, 110 in the shade. Inside the house,
the Curry men fret that 27-year-old Lizzie Curry
will become an old maid. Enter Starbuck, a magical
wanderer, a magnetic tale-spinner and con artist
with a plan to end the drought and a barrel of sweet
talk for the rancher's daughter. Can Starbuck overcome
Lizzie's skepticism and bring rain to the desert
of her life? Nash's romantic comedy, an American
classic, is a tribute to the power of laying claim-and
holding tight-to one's dreams. For the romantics
among us, who live for tears, laughs, and old-fashioned
happy endings, The Rainmaker is a must-see!
