Nunsense
II is suitable in language and subject matter for all audiences.
Dan Goggin has attributed
the phenomenal popularity of Nunsense (3000 performances)
to the fact that his nuns are as glad to be nuns as the rest of
us to be stockbrokers or school superintendents. True or not,
the Little Sisters of Hoboken are back again and zanier than ever.
Is the show irreverent and provocative? No. Satirical? Not really.
Profound? Are you kidding? Is it sweet, and silly, and laugh-out-loud
funny? You bet your beads and wimple. And The Padre Polka is headed
for the charts. The critics say "another smash hit
habit-forming
heavenly!"
