You can purchase tickets for any night of any show by clicking here – or by calling 866-811-4111 and asking to purchase tickets for the Players Club of Swarthmore.
Your tickets will be available for Will-Call pickup at the box office on the night of the show and will be Guaranteed to be waiting for you.
Currently, our seats are General Admission, so we can’t sell you a particular seat, but we will ensure that you have a seat when you arrive if you purchase them ahead of time. (and all of our seats are good seats).
Fifteen or more people qualify for a group discount, and the more people, the steeper the discount. Please see our Ticket Information Page or email Group Sales at groupsales@pcstheater.org for more information. For some very pampered groups who attend all seven productions on opening Thursday or Friday, we reserve a block of seats. Otherwise, if you come in plenty of time (half an hour for straight plays, an hour for musicals), you can generally count on sitting close to your friends.
YES! Seniors (65 and older) get $1 off at the box office. At the beginning of each season we offer a discount for early bird subscriptions, which is an even better discount. Get on our mailing list to take advantage of it next year. For more information about tickets, please go to our Ticket Information Page.
Lots of ways! You can send an email note to info@pcstheater.org. Send us a letter or postcard with your name and address to PO Box 236, Swarthmore, PA, 19081-0236. Call us on 610-328-4271 and leave your name and address for the membership chairman. Fill out a mailing list form in the lobby or at the box office.
We will mail you a postcard every month if you like, or you can subscribe to our email news letter by sendind email to news@pcstheater.org, which gives you greater detail about each of our productions.
Start right here on our web site at our home page! And get on our mailing list while you’re at it and you’ll receive our monthly postcard or our twice-a-show email newsletter. See previous question.
Auditions are held throughout the year and they are open to everyone. Please check out our PCS Auditions page for the latest auditions being held and the complete schedule. To receive email notices about auditions, send an email to auditions@pcstheater.org and ask to be put on the list. If you don’t read email regularly, consider subscribing to Stage Magazine which carries audition notices for all local amateur theaters, pick up a copy in our lobby for details.
Our Main Stage auditorium is wheelchair accessible, but our Raymond W. Smith Second Stage Theater is not, and could be difficult for anyone who has trouble with stairs. Individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to call the theater at (610) 328-4271 for details about our facilities. Anyone needing to be seated early in our auditorium should arrive at least a half hour before the performance and contact our House Manager in the main lobby for assistance.
For those who would like assistive listening devices, they can be obtained from the box office at no charge prior to all of our mainstage shows. These radio devices allow you to hear everything perfectly, even from the back of the house!
We have a fully ADA-compliant restroom, with plenty of room to turn a motorized wheelchair around and automated controls on just about everything. The seats in our auditorium are cushioned, wide, and comfortable. There are four wheelchair spaces (two in front and two in the rear of the auditorium), as well as several easy access seats with flip-up arms.
Yes! Our Main Stage auditorium is equipped with state of the art hearing assistance equipment. Just check with the box office staff to get a headset before the show. They will ask for your car keys as collateral until you return the headset. We also have units that will feed the sound into hearing aids if yours is so equipped.
Yes! The Players Club always needs, and welcomes, people! Everyone who works at PCS works for free. We do it because we love what we do and we make great friends. It is a wonderful way for couples and families to spend time together, and a terrific way to meet people. It doesn’t matter what you want to do. If you have skills, there’s a lot you can do; if you want to learn a couple simple things, we’re happy to teach; if you just want to do easy odd jobs, there are plenty of them.
The easiest way to meet people and get invited back at PCS is to attend our work Sundays, one per show… see the calendar page.
The Players Club is located at 614 Fairview Road, right off of Route 320 (Chester Road). Go South on Route I-95 until you get to exit 7 for Route I-476 North (The Blue Route); get off immediately at Exit 1 (MacDade Boulevard) and go MacDade Blvd East. {Or come South on I- 476 until you get to Exit 1 and do the same thing}.
Follow MacDade Boulevard 1/4 mile and come to your first intersection (McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Dunkin’ Donuts….you CAN’T miss it). Make a LEFT onto Fairview Road. Go THROUGH two lights. The road bends to the left. Look for the theater on your left. If you get to the 3rd light, the road ends (Chester Road — 320) and you have just passed the theater 50 feet behind you on the left!
If you live in the Springfield / Swarthmore area, come South on 320 (from the Springfield Mall) and follow the signs for 320. Go under the Swarthmore train station. At the second light (Gulf Station on corner), make a left onto Fairview. There’s the theater.
Yes! We offer gift certificates in any dollar amount that you want. Or, you can purchase a gift subscription for your friends or relatives. For more information about tickets, please go to our Ticket Information Page.
We try our best to promptly return phone messages, but because we are a volunteer organization we sometimes don’t get time to check the messages due to family or work commitments. We apologize for any delay or inconvenience this may cause you and we are constantly trying to improve.
