Synopsis:
An elderly woman recalls the fun of her childhood, the optimism of her early marriage and husband’s affairs and death, all colored by the estrangement of her gay son. This strong and funny dark comedy played to rave revues on Broadway in 1994, earning Edward Albee his third Pulitzer Prize. It again received rave reviews in 2018 when it was revived on Broadway starring Glenda Jackson. Three Tall Women won the Drama Critics Circle, the Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel awards for best play.
There is a variety of strong and suggestive language. Parents’ approval is recommended for students below high school age.
