Synopsis:

The place is Hollywood and the year is 1927, when the invention of the talkies sends many a movie studio scrambling to salvage the career of its chipmunk-voiced silent picture star. No one has a worse voice than the formidable Lina Lamont, and no one fights harder to stay on top. But her long-suffering co-star and captive fiancé Don Lockwood is getting ready to burst into rebellion, and song, abetted by his old pal Cosmo Brown and his new pal Kathy Selden—who happens to have a pretty good voice. This MGM classic musical has been lovingly adapted for the stage by Broadway legends Betty Comden and Adolph Green from their own award-winning screenplay. Each unforgettable scene, song and dance is here, including Make ‘en Laugh, Broadway Melody, Good Morning, and the show-stopping Singin’ in the Rain, complete with an onstage rainstorm. See our singing, dancing, and plumbing talent on display!
