Synopsis:

Two fashionable wastrels arrive in an English country town hoping to trap at least one rich heiress into marriage, but a feisty barmaid, a meddlesome mother, a gang of robbers—and love– upset their plans. A snappy comedy of disguise and surprise in the manner of She Stoops to Conquer, this Restoration gem has been tuned up by Ludwig (Lend me a Tenor) for maximum laughs. A spicy cure for the winter blues.
